Tommy was born and raised in Norco, California. After pastoring at Calvary Chapel Living Water in Corona, California, for fourteen years, God called him and his family eight and a half years ago onto the mission field. They stepped out in faith and moved to Okinawa, Japan. Tommy is also the Director of Calvary Chapel Bible College Japan located in Okinawa, Japan. He and his wife, Joanna, have four children and two grandchildren.
